How it works
1. Order Placement and Payment
Select your products and checkout.
Payment options include: Secure payment via Payfast (Mastercard, VISA), Snapscan or Direct bank transfer (EFT).
Shipping costs will be automatically added to your order on checkout unless you select the option to ‘Collect’ (see below for info), or are ordering from outside of South Africa.

2. Processing
Your order will be processed once your payment has cleared in our bank account. For EFT payments, please email proof of payment to hello@gepetto.co.za.
We carry stock of most products, and such orders will be processed within 2-7 days.
Some of the larger products, custom orders and orders of larger quantities are made to order, and will be processed within 5-14 days.
We will update you when your order is ready to be shipped.
3. Shipping
Collection
If you are based in Cape Town and would prefer to personally collect your order from our depot in Constantia, you are welcome to do so. Please select the “Collect” option at checkout. Once your order is ready, a specific appointment time for collection will be arranged via email/whatsapp.
Delivery
Gepetto has partnered with a reliable Courier company offering a fast economy door-to-door service from Monday – Friday, between 8am – 5pm.
Cape Town and surrounding centres – R100
National main centres, and regional or rural areas – R150
International – dependent on country – please email hello@gepetto.co.za for an accurate estimation of courier cost before proceeding to Check-out.
For larger products (e.g furniture, lamps) and orders of large quantities, a custom courier fee may need to be calculated. We will liaise with you directly should this be the case and any surcharge above the base rate will be for your account.
Deliveries will take between 3-6 working days (South Africa only).
Gepetto will not be held responsible for late deliveries once the package has been handed over to the Courier company.
Gepetto will not be held responsible for orders delivered to an address (as supplied by the customer) that is incomplete or incorrect, and the customer will be liable for any fees incurred for re-direction.
4. Returns, Exchanges & Refunds
Gepetto packages your order with love and care. Please carefully check your delivered goods immediately you receive them.
If you are unhappy or find a problem with your order, please make contact within 3 days of receiving your order. To be eligible for a return/exchange, your item must be in the same condition that you received it – unused, with tags and in its original packaging. A full product refund, exchange or credit voucher may be given upon the safe return of the item.
To log a return/exchange request, you can contact us at hello@gepetto.co.za. If your return is accepted, we will contact you with further instructions. We only accept returns via door-to-door courier at your cost unless otherwise agreed upon. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
PLEASE NOTE: All wood varies in colour with age and exposure, so a uniform wood colour cannot be guaranteed. Some products are made from reclaimed, recycled or salvaged wood and will therefore have nicks, marks and imperfections. Some products may have holes or cracks, and are hand-crafted to create character that is part of the design. These are not necessarily defects, signs of damage, or poor quality. Some products are not sealed and therefore care needs to be taken during day to day use.
